Prerelease Mirrodin Besieged

Hi there for all you in the know people, and for those of you who aren’t, it’s about that time again prerelease time! My favourite time of year, its a second Christmas minus the relatives and crappy gifts! Prerelrease of Mirrodin Besieged comes out this Saturday and Sunday at Highlander Games. For those of you who know what a prerelease is all about, you know the excitement of opening new boosters and playing a whole day of magic with new players from all around Scotland, is an experience in itself. This one is slightly different as it’s faction based, so your faction alters your prerelease experience entirely, whether it be the metallic Mirrans or corrupted Phyrexians. Personally Phyrexians all the way, let the contagion continue!
Those of you who are new to magic may not be aware of the feelings of excitement of a Prerelease, fear not, why not come along and get stuck in my good friend Gary Campbell @ Highlander Games would be more than happy to help.
The Prerelease will start at 12:30 so be sure to turn up early for a space and I’ll hopefully see you there.
I will be reporting any gems collected and how the scores went for me and my mob, wish me luck.

This pre-release is lookin to one of the most interesting ones yet. I think I will be the odd man out as I am going to go for mirran rather than phyrexian. Something about metalcraft and specifically battle cry that i really like. My only issue, is that if poison was bad before this is going to be worse. At least you wont be able to use distotion strike. By the way Danny i found a way to make your poison deck even more powerfull, hopefully I will get to use it on you in a friendly before you start to use it on me

Don’t give him any ideas! That poison deck of Danny’s is evil enough as it is! I agree this prerelease looks exciting though, I’ve never done the two faction thing, have they done it before? I haven’t decided which I want to go with, I haven’t looked at the spoilers yet, but phyrexian seems really popular, so will there be enough of the different faction boosters to let everyone pick what they like? or will it have to be a more even 50-50 split with mirran vs phyrexian? Maybe our glamorous assistant at highlander games can tell us?

Actually dude we should have post section about deck ideas so we can bounce ideas around as is i have come up with 4 deck i das in like 5 days but have no idea how they will play out as i have never actually tested and also i dont have the cards. So it might be a good idea.

Always very good to see, this was obvious a brilliant post. In idea I need to write like this too. You need time to creat that informative and furthermore many effort to produce a brilliant post.

so are you planning to give everyone who joins rights or is there a way other people can post coming soon, or maybe a forum or something? dont seem to be able to do anything right now.

Well every post is an artical, the regular authours so far are me, Vicious and Highlander games. There is an rss feed you can surscribe to, im willing to give rights to anyone who has a good idea about writting a colum everyweek.

to be honest im not sure writing an article every week is really for me. i just wanted a place to chatr about magic. thanks anyway but i’ll stick to the forums.
a lot less trouble and a lot more feedback.

Thats fair enough, you can still talk about magic here, we will be providing a forum soon enough. We do need more site members, so i would appreciate it if you could pass the site on to more players.
