Hi there everyone.
I’m afraid I have bad news…. No prerelease deck ideas have sprung to mind. This is due to the slow dripping of information by wizards and all other spoiler sites. There just isn’t enough out there to make a solid deck. Oh there are plenty of cards that are awesome but unfortunately there has been little to no mention of creature removal or mana execration. So until those specific types of cards are spoiled I won’t be writing up any prerelease deck ideas.
Don’t despair though I will be discussing some of the awesome cards that have been spoiled and how I feel they will shape the way standard magic is played in the near future.
Why don’t we have a look at three of the magic colours today, these will be blue, black and white, I will carry on with green and red more later on this week. Well lets look at these cards now shall we?

Now the first card I’m showing today is interesting. It’s a defender until it reaches 5 counters then its pure aggression. With proliferate this card will be deadly even quicker, which rocks, my thanks to transform cards.

This next card is an awesome little unblock-able that is only weak to globals but hey splash a bit of cancels in with him he’ll be unstoppable.

A nasty zombie card this next one that only really dies when you run out of creatures to exile when casting him or you exile him.

The final card in blue I’m going to mention is this little beauty. A milling card that gets +x+x based on the cards that have been binned. That ability stacks so with a little look up and milling yourself you could easily smash a player that didn’t have flying blockers.

And now on to the Black cards and the first one I’m going to show you may cost a lot but its damn sure worth it. Its 8 mana and 3 of them must be Swamps but hey 13 2/2 zombies, who cares if they’re tapped, plus a flashback of 10. This is defiantly a card to look out for.

Now this next card takes full advantage of the new mechanic of the set Morbid. This card in combination with token generating cards can easily swap your 1/1 token for a 5/5 flying fatty.

This last card I’m going to show you in black may just be awesome depending on how you play it. It gains counters when other human cards die and in this set there are a lot of human cards. In combination with kill spells like grasp of darkness this little 2/2 could become a serious problem quite quickly. This is another one to look out for if you like black.

Now we finally move on to the white cards. The first card I’m going to mention today is a modified Day of Judgement. I personally like global destroy everything spells that make your opponent try and reassemble an army to deal with you but this card does that one better. It deals with most of the creatures bar two, yours and your opponents, now this may ultimately turn out to be the better card but this early it’s hard to tell.

This next card will be a much sought after card in drafts after this set is released. This is because of its summoning ability to destroy 3 of the big beasties in Innistrad. Unlike red or black this is a may affect so your own monsters are safe its wraith.

This last card is also a creature that would benefit playing a lot of humans as it slowly gets bigger for each human entering the battle field. Now this card would become a big problem for an opponent as it would stop them playing their own human cards and for one mana it’s a steal of a card.
Well that’s all for today but if you have any questions about what I’ve talked about today or would just like to chat about Innistrad feel free to comment below or email me at stefan_d_durie@hotmail.com
Well good bye for now and stay frosty.

Over-hyping and under-hyping cards aside, I feel the need to ask you to check, double check and then triple check your blogs before posting. Some of the paragraphs are very hard to read, and your grammar and spelling is lacking.
A good example would be:
“I personally like global destroy everything spells that make your opponent try and resemble an army to deal with you but this card does that one better.”
I think, if you checked it, it would have turned out something like…
“I personally like “global destroy everything” spells that make your opponent have to reassemble an army or board presence to deal with you, but this card does this better because…”
Resemble and Reassemble are two very different words with two very different meaning.

Thanks very much for your comment; I have rectified the ‘reassemble’ error you pointed out. Please feel free to comment again any time, I love to hear peoples contrasting views regarding magic cards but I’m aware not everyone shares my opinion regarding the cards mentioned above.
